Successful First Year UC Davis MFA show at the Pence Gallery. The emphasis on interdisciplinary art has only slighly diverted me from paint. I've added woodblock printing to my repertoire, and love this new approach to layering color, starting from carved texture.
With a background in computer-graphic design, I find a peculiar pleasure in making a speedy process (splitting an image into 4-colors) take a long amount of time, with unexpected results.
On the painting front, enjoying painting constructed spaces. Focusing on expanding paint vocabulary to communicate mass and substance. New work will be on view at some or at Summer 08 Events
